IELTS, minute by minute.

Four modules, one test. Here is what you are preparing for, drawn to scale by how long each part actually takes.

Listening

30 minutes. 4 parts. 40 questions.

Four recordings, from an everyday conversation to an academic lecture, and you hear each one only once. You answer while you listen, so concentration matters as much as vocabulary. Same in Academic and General Training.

How we prepare you. We train the small habits that cost marks: spelling, plurals, and keeping up when a speaker corrects themselves halfway through a sentence.

Band requirements vary by university, organisation, profession and immigration route. Always confirm the current requirement for your purpose before you book a test date.

From your first question to real progress.

We coordinate your learning rather than selling you a course off the shelf. This is the route every learner takes with us.

Start with step one
  1. Step 1: Assess

Take the free English assessment online, at a time that suits you. It takes about 20 minutes.

  2. Step 2: Understand

We look at your result and at the goal behind it: a band score, a degree, a job, or simply the confidence to speak.

  3. Step 3: Discuss

Someone from our team contacts you to talk it through properly, on a call or on WhatsApp.

  4. Step 4: Recommend

We recommend the English or IELTS pathway that fits your level, your mode of learning and your timetable.

  5. Step 5: Coordinate

We arrange the lessons and learning support, in Karachi or online, so you can focus on the learning itself.

  6. Step 6: Progress

You keep moving towards your goal, and we keep checking that you are learning at the right level.

Our promise

We will tell you your real level. We will never promise you a band score.

Your result depends on where you start, the work you put in and how the day goes. What we can promise is honesty about all three, a plan that fits your level, and real people who stay with you while you work through it.

Ask on WhatsApp
Is the assessment really free?

Yes. There is no charge and no obligation to book lessons. You answer around 40 questions on grammar, vocabulary, reading and language use, which takes about 20 minutes, and you see an indicative level from A1 to C2 straight away.

Is the result an official certificate?

No. It is an honest indication to guide your next step, not an official CEFR or IELTS certificate. It does not test speaking or writing; our team assesses those when we speak with you.

Can I prepare for IELTS if my English is weak right now?

Yes, but usually not straight away. If your level is below about B1, building your general English first tends to lead to better IELTS results. We will tell you honestly where to start.

How long does IELTS preparation take?

It depends on your starting level, your target band and how much time you can study. Moving up half a band often takes weeks of focused work, and a full band can take months. After your assessment we give you a realistic plan. We never guarantee a score.

Academic or General Training: which one do I need?

Listening and Speaking are the same in both. Academic uses academic texts and tasks and is generally asked for by universities and some professional bodies. General Training uses everyday and workplace texts with a letter writing task, and is often used for work and migration. Always check which one your university or route asks for.

Do you teach online or in person?

Both. In person learning is in Karachi, subject to availability, and online learning can be arranged for learners anywhere in Pakistan. Tell us your preference and we will recommend the best option.

Do I need IELTS to study abroad?

Often, but not always. Many universities accept IELTS, and some accept other tests or evidence such as previous study in English. Requirements vary by university, course and country, and LEAD Counseling can help you confirm the one that applies to you.

Are the mock tests and games free even if I do not study with you?

Yes. All 16 IELTS format mock tests, 24 practice games, the band calculator and the writing and speaking question banks are free for everyone.
